![]() In one of the best articles on digital transformation I’ve read this year: Driving Digital at the Speed of Expectation Ayoub Abielmona states that “After centuries of technology advancing ahead of human capability, consumers have finally caught up and are now demanding better experiences.” He cites the following 4 digital innovations to be the catalysts behind the digital innovation that is advancing the ease of use, user adoption, and as a result, user expectation: ➡️ Pervasive connectivity ➡️ Extensive mobility ➡️ Scale on-demand ➡️ & intelligent Machines As a result, Ayoub notes that we can sometimes feel like Lucy and Ethel, struggling to keep up with the increasing demands for innovation and novelty! I’ve definitely felt like Lucy at times in my career across several industries! As a translator trying to keep up with the endless software updates and user guides as companies went global! As a software tester as iterative software designs kept having to become more innovative and competitive against new and upcoming brands. As a digital adoption professional, adding new platforms to a never ending tech stack. Managing employee expectation and supporting adoption when it seems like some vendors snuck some chocolates under the table on their way out the factory! Incredible article Ayoub! And a great call out to the different types of technology that is causing the rapid changes in user adoption & expectation like: IoT, Social, Cloud, Mobile, and AI/ML.
